A utility company has knowingly charged us at the wrong tarrif. We asked for the amount of the overcharge to be returned to us. They have prevaricated for over three years before agreeing to do so. The agreed amount is approaching £1000. Can we claim interest for the time they have failed to return the money overcharged?

it depends on what exactly they have said and how they have accepted responsibility but if they have admitted they are in error then I would think that yes you are therefore entitled to ask for interest.
