suing a UK based company

Hi,

I'm Lukas from Poland. A UK-based company owes me some money. Not as little to give it away not as much to hire a UK lawyer.

They don't dispute the debt. I have 2 e-mails where they ask about my address and promise to send a cheque but they've never done it.

I have experience with courts in Poland so it wouldn't be problem for me but I can't sue them here.

My question is:
- can UK courts proceed without my attendance; can I send e-mails (printouts) along with a form as an evidence (I doubt they could make a deposition and lie about it)?

You do not need to attend court unless the matter is contested.

That's what I'm afraid of. The debtor can contest because he knows it would be hard for me to attend.

Am I obliged to come? Or may I just send the evidences and my statement if there's a hearing?
