I keep seeking on a lot of solicitor's sites the same message repeated: 
"Under the Act, a business can recover interest and compensation for each invoice that is paid late and outside of any agreed payment terms.As each individual invoice is classed as a debt the compensation can be claimed on each invoice."
I do not know if they copy and paste this info or this is based on something tangible. I have read the Act a few times and I struggle to find a section where this is corroborated. Can you help?

Hi Andreea,

This definition of each invoice being a separate debt is not defined by this particular law. It is was how the law viewed it prior to this law. Each invoice is viewed as a separate debt under English law. And therefore each invoice accrues compensation and interest separately. And this has been enforced and ruled on in case law.
