Would the fees charged by our bank, for a bounced cheque, be able to be reclaimed under the new act as "additional recovery fees"?

Hello Charlie
The additional recovery fees was introduced in March when the legislation was revised.

The wording is as follows: If the reasonable costs of the supplier in recovering the debt are not met by the fixed sum, the supplier shall also be entitled to a sum equivalent to the difference between the fixed sum and those costs

You could argue that a bounced cheque is not part of the recovery process but if it was me, I would certainly add it. The worst that could happen is if a judge decided to remove it from your claim so you will loose nothing by adding it.

Regards

David
