Claims for late payment against Scottish companies

I notice that the 'Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013' refer to contracts in England and Wales.

About 6 months ago I started doing electrical work for a Scottish logistics company who have a couple of depots here in the Midlands.

All invoices are sent to the main office in Scotland, although the work that I have carried out has been at their depots in England.

The first payments I received were on time and within the 30 days that I agreed verbally with the contracts manager. In recent months payments are taking much longer to reach my account and are more in the region of 60 days as opposed to the 30 days

My question is, can I still apply the late payment legislation to this Scottish based company?

We can confirm that the act does apply in Scotland, you can find a link to the act in Scotland here:

However the act did not come into force until the 29th March 2013.
