Say I've received dervices governed by the EU directive and a 60 day payment period is relevant. If I query the bill as not adequately describing the actual services rendered and the supplier takes a month to clarify things satisfactorily, does the 60 day payment period get pushed back by 30 days ?(or any other period of time it has taken to reply to the query).

Hello Dave

I think once your query has been satisfactorily answered, there would be no reason to withhold payment or add on extra days. Any undisputed part of a claim should be paid within agreed terms.

David

You should pay what you believe is owed within the terms. A query is not sufficient to withhold payment.

If you wish to avoid latepayment penalties and interest, pay what you think is owed to avoid such charges being applied at a later date
