PayOnTime supporter

Hi

I was wondering about signing up to be a PayOnTime supporter so I could use the logo on my invoices (and make it a little more prominent than the standard "I understand and will exercise my rights etc" text).

However the signup form asks for Company Name and registration number. I am operating as a Sole Trader, so although I'm self employed and issuing and paying invoices, there is no "company".

Can I still sign up to be a PayOnTime supporter (and should I put my business trading name down where it says "Company") or is it only for LtdCos?

Thanks
Andy

Technically, you personally are the company so you would still be covered by the legislation. Provided of course the invoices are issued to other businesses and not members of the general public/consumers...

And as far as we are aware any business is free to sign up as a supporter, so yes in this case your trading name would be the company and you can ignore the registration number :)

Thanks for that.

Yes, I'm supplying my services to companies not consumers, so I'm covered by the legislation. I just wondered if the "Supporter" membership was restricted to formally registered companies. Glad to know it's not!
