Hi great site by the way glad I came across it :-) Anyway my company is owed monies for works completed August 2014. I have issued a reminded but sadly have not received any payment to date. Can I use the Late payment of commercial debts interest act? As I have paid my suppliers for the materials used so am out of pocket :-( The client is a private client not a business will this make any difference?

Hi Tyralton

Sorry to hear the delays. Unfortunately the legislation will not be able to help in this instance as it only relates to Business to Business.

I suggest that you consult with a specialist debt recovery firm or lawyer who will be able to advise you the best way forward.

I use Lanes4Claims, who offer a cost effective solution solution, but they are by no means the only firm who offer such services.
