Charging interest was created by John Simpson
I'm charging interest and compensation to a customer. Do I have to produce a separate invoice for the interest and compensation? Or can I include it on another regular invoice along with other items I am charging for (trade related).

Thanks

Hello John

Thank you for your question.

When you charge interest, you make a claim for it. You do not raise an invoice. You should find this section of the users guide section helpful ' how to claim '

You can find an example of the copy you should use for the claim letter here. Letter informing a customer that a claim for interest and compensation will be charged.

I hope this helps.
