Hi Everyone

I require an urgent advice on the matter. I am a freelance translator and interpreter and have worked in this industry more than 20 years. This is the first time I have come across this issue. I have been working for more than 4 years, for a company called Capita, whom provided interpreting services to Ministry of Justice. There usual method of payments was relaxed i.e. no severe deadlines that the money must be claimed within a certain period of time. Later part of the Last year they lost contract to BigWord. The company claim that they sent an email to interprets which stated that the outstanding payments should be claimed by a certain date. All jobs are completed and accepted on time on the portal apart from the very final payment bit. Thus, Capita charged the money from the courts but do not want to pay it to the interpreters. I have written a number of email and a letter as well. I received replies before but since I said that if it is not paid within the 2 weeks I will start a small claim procedure. Then no reply. Earlier replies were that the paperwork will be passed to the management and they will look into it. I have got proof where the interpreters have been paid. Can anyone assist on this matter?
