Would like to issue charges to client who has paid consistently late and I now wish to close their account.

Some invoices were only paid 6 or 7 days late. I probably wont bother with daily interest but can I still charge the standard legislation fee based on value of invoice?

Hello Logicool

Yes you can charge the compensation fee but I would also charge interest.

You could then set out the compensation and interest charges in your demand, then in the final amount owed, deduct the interest if they pay within a specified period to help encourage prompt payment.
