I have been told by a customer that a 17 day rule applies to late payment.

I have no idea what this means and I don't think it is correct.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I have never heard of this either. A quick search on Bing only came up with 17 day diet plans!
Could they be talking about an agreed period of grace to ensure that supplied goods or services are correct?

Perhaps you could ask you customer to explain?

No Idea, not something anyone in this office has heard of!
