NON-PAYMENT was created by asim
I have worked for a company and then resigned, my employer didnt paid me my last month salary. Couple of months after my resignation company went into liquidation.
I stayed unaware of liquidation and went to court to sue the company. I have been informed now that company is liquidised.
Is there any way I can still recieve my money?

Maybe. You need to look at Companies House online and establish the exact status of the company. Was the company actually liquidated or placed in administration? You can always speak with the liquidators and explain your position The liquidators are required to notify creditors and you may have been a preferential creditor and so should have been advised. The question is why you weren't.

As goldman said you need to speak to the administrators/liquidators as soon as possible.

If nothing else you need to lodge a claim with them for the monies owed.

Also as an ex employee ask yourself does the company have anything of value? Maybe a customer list or marketing database? If so speak to the administrators with regard to purchasing it if nothing else they may be worth something to you? Just a thought....

Thank your for your answers. They are really helpful.
I have checked companies house web and the status of company is 'LIQUIDATED'. I have made a claim in county court against the company and I have court hearing on wednesday 10th November. What points I need to make during hearing? Is there anything specific I need to focus?
Thanks for your responses.

If you are referring to UK registered company are you certain the status is "Liquidated" as opposed to "Liquidation"? Click Insolvency History in the CH listing and what does it say.

AFAIK you cannot action a liquidated company or indeed a company in liquidation except against PG's

Suggest you follow earlier advice

First question. Were you an employee or a contractor/freelancers.

If you were an employee then you may be able to obtain part payment from the government. This was at least the case 10 years ago. From recollection the liquidator should be able to advise.
