wording for payment terms on invoices was created by ninesquared

I am currently revising my invoicing system.

I would like to know if the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations only applies to business to business ? I sometimes undertake work direct for members of the public hence not a business.

Am i still allowed to include wording within payment terms to indicate that compensation and interest is payable for late payment ?

Hello John

The late payment of commercial debts legislation is business to business only. You can however include your own terms of payment when dealing members of the public.

Best to get an idea of what others do in your line of business.

I also have this problem and it has resulted it total non payment meaning the customer has had free labour and materials! I would really like to know what i can do to prevent this and also what i can do about the ones that have already took me for a ride?
